Ultra-Low Temperature Insulating Oil Project for 110kV Substation in Pomerania, Poland
Project Background: Our partner is a state-owned power grid operation and maintenance enterprise in Poland. The substation is an outdoor 110kV facility located in the high-altitude Pomerania region, where the minimum winter temperature consistently drops to -40℃.
Original Equipment Pain Points: Previously, general-purpose transformer insulating oil was adopted. When the temperature fell to around -30℃, the oil would thicken and solidify. Over the past three years, the station suffered an average of 2 to 4 tripping faults every winter. Each emergency repair required seven to eight staff members to travel into mountainous areas for a two-day operation. Power outages severely disrupted industrial production and residents' daily electricity supply in surrounding villages and towns.

Custom 45# ultra-low temperature dedicated transformer insulating oil was deployed for the substation, with key performance indicators: pour point ≤ -45℃, flash point ≥ 140℃, breakdown voltage ≥ 70kV.

Complete customs clearance documents: REACH SVHC Substance of Very High Concern test reports, EAC Eurasian Customs Union certification, and EU CLP hazard-specific labels. All documents are directly acceptable for customs review.

On-site technical support: A Polish chemical technician was stationed on-site for 3 days to complete transformer oil filling and low-temperature operating condition commissioning.

Implementation Results
Equipment O&M optimization: The customized ultra-low temperature insulating oil adapts to the local extreme cold of -40℃ and completely solves the problem of oil solidification under low temperatures. No equipment tripping or shutdown failures have occurred all year round, drastically cutting mountain emergency maintenance costs and losses caused by power outages, and significantly improving grid operational stability.
Localized delivery: Goods are stocked in local Polish warehouses, enabling outbound delivery within 8 hours and direct arrival at the substation the next day.
