In September 2026, China's Fujian Tianchen Yaolong New Material Co., Ltd. released a tender (Tender No.: 20102242HXCGFA260902003) for the procurement of 35 metric tons of 2-ethylanthraquinone through a public, voluntary bidding process. The tender bid opening is scheduled for September 14, 2026, at 09:00 Beijing Time.

The 35 metric tons of 2-ethylanthraquinone procured by Fujian Tianchen Yaolong are designated for the hydrogen peroxide production unit integrated with its 350,000-tonne-per-annum caprolactam project-ultimately serving the production of hydrogen peroxide. In China alone, the annual make-up demand for 2-ethylanthraquinone required for hydrogen peroxide manufacturing exceeds 8,000 metric tons, representing a market scale of approximately RMB 600 million, with mainstream transaction prices concentrating between RMB 45,000 and RMB 61,000 per ton.
As the world's largest producer and consumer of 2-ethylanthraquinone, China accounts for over 60% of global production capacity. With limited domestic manufacturing capacity within Europe, European supply chains remain highly dependent on Chinese imports for raw materials in this segment. Chinese enterprises have successfully completed product carbon footprint accounting, secured carbon footprint certification, and cleared the green compliance hurdles for European export markets. In response to regulatory frameworks such as the EU REACH regulation and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), Chinese manufacturers are proactively transforming low-carbon mandates into competitive advantages. Characterized by large-scale production, cost efficiency, industrial clustering, and rapid technological iteration, China's chemical sector is successfully shifting its competitive edge from volume to quality.
