Product Grades
Industrial Grade
Classified into Types I, II, and III based on performance, each with three quality levels: Premium, First, and Qualified. Among these, Type I Premium grade has a Na2SO4 content of ≥99.3% and is primarily used in detergents, synthetic fibres, glass manufacturing, and related industries.
Food Grade
Content (on dry basis) ranges from 99.0% to 100.5%. Strict limits are imposed on heavy metals such as lead, arsenic, and selenium. Used as a food processing aid and pigment diluent, among other applications.
Pharmaceutical Grade
Content ≥99.0% (calculated on dried basis). Subject to rigorous testing for chlorides, heavy metals, and pH. Used as an osmotic pressure regulator or salting-out agent.
Reagent Grade
Purity typically ≥99.0% or higher, with extremely stringent impurity controls. Exclusively used in analytical experiments and scientific research.
Standard stock items are industrial grade. For special-grade orders, please contact us for full documentation.

Industries
Sodium Sulfate Used in the the Pharmaceutical Industry
● Oral Formulations: Can be utilised as raw material in the manufacturing of oral laxative preparations.
● Toxicology Antagonist Preparations: Applied as a raw material for formulations targeting barium salt intoxication treatment.
● Topical Preparations: Used as a raw material for externally applied hot compress formulations.

Sodium Sulfate Used in the the Food Industry
● Fermented Foods: Used in the fermentation of soy sauce, vinegar, and similar products to adjust pH and improve fermentation efficiency.
● Baked Flour Products: Compounded with acidic ingredients as a leavening agent component to improve the texture and color uniformity of breads and pastries.
● Cold Beverages and Sauces: Acts as a thickening and stabilizing agent in ice cream, milkshakes, ketchup, and similar products to prevent separation and delay melting.
Sodium Sulfate Used in the the Cosmetic Industry
● Thickening & Rheology Control: Boosts viscosity in anionic surfactant systems (e.g., AES, SLES) by modifying micelle structure, giving lotions and creams an optimal feel.
● Dispersion & Stabilization: Evenly disperses pigments in colour cosmetics like foundation and eye shadow to prevent settling; also keeps active ingredients suspended in skincare formulations.
● Auxiliary Cleansing: Its ionic properties support soil removal in body wash formulations.

Sodium Sulfate Used in the the Glass Industry
● Fluxing: Replaces part of the soda ash to lower quartz sand melting temperature and cut energy use.
● Fining: Decomposes above 1300°C to release SO₃ gas, which eliminates micro-bubbles from molten glass and improves transparency.
● Oxidative Stabilization: Regulates melt redox balance to prevent ferrous ion discolouration and stabilise glass chemistry.
Sodium Sulfate Used in the the Ceramics Industry
In the ceramics industry, sodium sulfate primarily serves as a component of inorganic water reducers (deflocculants) in the preparation of slurries and glazes, and in some processes as a flux or filler modifier.

Sodium Sulfate Used in the the Cleaning Industry
● Laundry & Synthetic Detergents: Acts as a bulk filler to cut costs, and its electrolyte effect lowers critical micelle concentration to boost cleaning power and prevent caking.
● Industrial Cleaning: Used in degreasing and equipment cleaning to emulsify oils and minimise redeposition, often combined with enzymes or bleaches.
Sodium Sulfate Used in the the Printing Industry
In the paper industry, sodium sulfate is primarily used in the sulfate (Kraft) pulping process, mainly serving as a cooking aid to supplement the sulfur source and as a circulating medium in the black liquor recovery system.
