Classification by Density and Structure
● HDPE (Code 2): High crystallinity, strength, and hardness. Used in bottles, pallets, etc.
● LDPE (Code 4): Flexible and highly transparent. Used in cling film, shopping bags.
● LLDPE: Good impact resistance, often blended with LDPE for films.
Classification by Molecular Weight
● Ordinary (80k–300k): Packaging and films.
● Medium (300k–1,000k): Engineering parts, gears.
● UHMWPE (>1,000k): High wear and impact resistance. Used in bulletproof vests, artificial joints.
Pipe Material Grades
International grades: PE32, PE40, PE63, PE80, PE100. PE80 and PE100 are used for gas and water pipes.
