Product Grades
Food Grade
Used as a food additive, acidulant, and preservative. Strict control over heavy metals (lead, arsenic, etc.) and microbial indicators. Purity is typically ≥80% (as lactic acid) or higher.
Pharmaceutical Grade
Used in the production of drugs such as calcium lactate and sodium lactate, as well as medical disinfectants. Extremely high requirements for optical purity (L-isomer content), chlorides, sulfates, and heavy metals. Purity is typically ≥99%.
Reagent Grade
Used in scientific research and analysis (e.g., HPLC standards). Available in grades such as Guaranteed Reagent (GR) and Analytical Reagent (AR), with purity ranging from 98.0% to 99.8%.
Industrial Grade
Used in the synthesis of polylactic acid (PLA), leather processing, and general chemical intermediates. Purity is relatively lower (typically 80%–90%), with less stringent limits on specific impurities.
Standard stock items are of industrial grade. For special grade orders, please contact us for complete documentation.

Lactic Acid Used in the Plastic Industry
Lactic acid, as the core monomer of polylactic acid (PLA), is used in the manufacture of biodegradable plastic bags and agricultural mulch films.

Lactic Acid Used in the Pharmaceutical Industry
● Pharmaceutical synthesis: Used in the production of calcium lactate (calcium supplement), sodium lactate (for acidosis correction), ferrous lactate (iron supplement), and infusion preparations such as erythromycin Ringer's solution.
● Biomarker: As a key mediator of L-lactylation modification, it regulates eukaryotic glycolysis and gene expression, serving as a cutting-edge tool in disease research.
Lactic Acid Used in the Food Industry
Lactic acid is mainly used as an acidulant and preservative, with wide applications in beverages (such as beer and lactic acid bacteria drinks), confectionery, and vegetable preservation. It is highly safe and can effectively regulate pH levels.

Lactic Acid Used in the Cosmetic Industry
Lactic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that combines mild exfoliation with potent moisturizing properties. At low concentrations, it promotes stratum corneum renewal and fades pigmentation; at high concentrations, it enhances skin hydration, making it suitable for sensitive skin care.
Lactic Acid Used in the Coating Industry
Lactic acid is used to produce ester compounds such as methyl lactate and ethyl lactate, which serve as environmentally friendly solvents, replacing traditional toxic organic solvents in the coatings industry.

Lactic Acid Used in the Pharmaceutical Industry
● Pharmaceutical intermediate: Used in the preparation of mineral supplements such as calcium lactate, sodium lactate, and zinc lactate, as well as infusion preparations like erythromycin Ringer's solution.
● Clinical diagnostic marker: Blood lactate concentration is a key indicator for assessing tissue hypoxia, shock, and energy metabolism status.
● Disinfection and care: High-purity lactic acid is used for sterilization in operating rooms and wards, and certain formulations are applied to regulate fluid acid-base balance.
Lactic Acid Used in the New Materials Industry
High-purity lactic acid is the core raw material for producing biodegradable polylactic acid (PLA), which is widely used in packaging containers, medical sutures, 3D printing filaments, and agricultural mulch films.

Lactic Acid Used in the Leather Industry
Lactic acid is used in leather softening treatment to enhance material softness and gloss.
Lactic Acid Used in the Feed Industry
Lactic acid is used as a feed additive to inhibit harmful bacteria.
