Industrial Grade
Classified into premium, first, and qualified grades. HCl content ≥31.0% (premium up to 36%). Key controls: iron, free chlorine, sulfates, residue on ignition. Used in metal pickling, water treatment, and inorganic salt preparation.
Food Grade
HClcontent ≥31.0%. Strict limits on toxic impurities such as arsenic, heavy metals, and lead. Used as a food processing aid for starch hydrolysis, pH adjustment, etc.
Reagent Grade
Divided into GR, AR, and CP. HCl content 36%–38%. Extremely low impurities, colorless and transparent. Used in laboratory analysis and precision synthesis.
Electronic Grade
Metal ions controlled at ppb level, particulates strictly regulated. Used in semiconductor cleaning, etching, and other high-end manufacturing.

Food-grade hydrochloric acid is permitted to be used as a processing aid to regulate pH or hydrolyze raw materials in specific processes, and the residual level in the final product must not exceed the specified limit.
